BKS Vidya Mandir was established in the year 1998 by GRAM VIKAS KALYAN SANSTHAN, AKKHA as part of its educational programme. It is a co-educational English Medium Residential cum Day School with an objective of promoting value-based education for the children of the rural and remote areas. The school’s educational programme aims at all round development of the student’s personality; witch reflects synthesis achievements of the west. The courses of the study from 1st to 12th include English, Maths, General Science, Hindi, Social Science, Physical Education, Arts, general Knowledge and Moral Science, for +2 classes. The school offers Medical, Non-Medical and Commerce courses. Computer science is compulsory for all classes, which is imparted by Computer Trained Teachers. The Foundation stone of the school was laid by Dr. Sahib Singh Verma, Former Chief Minister of Delhi in the year 1999. During this period school got affiliation from CBSE for upto class X in the year 2000. The school got affiliation from CBSE for class Xll in the year 2001. Every year it keeps adding to its school building as well as hostel building, staff quarters also. And today, the school is established in a beautiful constructed building of its own with a strength of 1700 students, 55 staff members and 57 non-teaching staff.
